CASE's skill development initiative recognised
CASE Construction Equipment has been recognised by the 10th National CSR Times Award 2023 for its initiatives in India. The company has bagged the Silver Award under the Livelihood category for their skill development initiatives, namely Hunar and LEAD, which provide skills training and encourage entrepreneurship amongst the countrys youth.
The award was presented during a ceremony held in New Delhi as part of the annual CSR Times Awards, which aims to encourage Corporate, Corporate Foundations, NGOs, Government, Public Sectors, and Individuals to drive positive impact in the community through CSR projects.
"We are truly honoured to receive the recognition from CSR Times Awards 2023. This accolade reinforces our commitment to fostering skill development and entrepreneurship amongst India's youth, said Puneet Vidyarthi, Head of Marketing and Business Development, CASE Construction Equipment. At CASE, we envision a future where our initiatives like Hunar and LEAD contribute significantly to the growth and progress of the infrastructure and agriculture sectors, aligning with our mission to drive positive impact in the communities we serve."
The Silver Award-winning Hunar and LEAD initiatives, by CASE Construction, boost skill development and entrepreneurship in the infrastructure and agriculture sectors. Hunar, aligned with NSDC and Infrastructure Equipment Sector Skill Council, trains youths to become backhoe loader operators, already training 145 and aiding 100 in securing industry roles within the year. As of now, the Hunar project has trained 242 trainees and facilitated job placement for 137 trainees.
Furthermore, CASE introduced the LEAD initiative earlier this year, which aims to foster entrepreneurship among 30,000 rural young people from across India. The project focuses on subsidiary income generation avenues in the agriculture and infrastructure sectors through awareness and training programs. The LEAD project has gone to around 1,352 villages and contacted 19,623 unemployed rural youth/population. Around 10,000 of these have sought additional information and further guidance to start their own micro-enterprise.
