MSG takes delivery of Demag all-terrain cranes
The Kehl-based crane service provider MSG Krandienst GmbH received two Demag AC 160-5 all-terrain cranes. Bjorn Jatz, Company Officer at MSG said, ?The overall design behind the Demag AC 160-5 shows that every single detail was carefully thought out, which is why the crane is a great addition to the in-demand 160-tonne crane segment.?
The Demag AC 160-5 crane has outstanding build quality and some crucial design advantages. These include, a compact build with a width of only 2.75 m that has proven to be highly advantageous for projects in the middle of urban areas. This advantage is further enhanced by the fact that the crane?s maximum available lifting capacity can be used at all times thanks to its IC-1 Plus control system ? even when using asymmetrical outrigger settings. Other advantages include the fact that the unit has a boom length of 68 m despite its compact dimensions and that many of the components in the Demag 5-axle family of products, such as counterweights, main boom extension, and hoist 2, are interchangeable.
