Solid Tire Performance Monitoring System
Trident has been granted a utility patent by the United States Patent Office (Patent number 10,017,017) for a device developed to capture and relay the temperature and usage of a solid tyre.

Heat build-up in solid tyres is one of the main causes of failure. This is due to continuous operations, long duty cycles, long haul distances and increased operating speed, which are typical service conditions in applications such as mining, industrial plant and material handling.

The Solid Tire Performance Monitoring System (STPMS) consists of sensors encased in specially designed enclosure that can be embedded in a suitable sidewall aperture of a solid tyre and a small hand-held display monitor.

The sensors continuously send the temperature of each tyre to the display interface in real time and alert the user when temperature exceeds the critical levels. The system also records the distance travelled by each tyre, thus enabling users monitor the life of the tyre at any given point.

Since 1997, Trident International has been the specialist in design, development and distribution of industrial tyres and tracks. With a business philosophy of excellence, Trident has been a reliable supplier to develop innovative tyre solutions for construction, mining and other severe-duty operations. Trident has built a strong presence in over 35 countries and has partnered with leading distributors in North America, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

For more information:
Email: sales@trident-intl.com
Web: www.trident-intl.com

(Communication provided by company)
