The Safe & Innovative Breaker
Construction industry in India is one of the largest employers and a key driver of economic growth. The new optimism in India?s macro economic growth will fuel new investments in commercial complexes, factories and housing. While this new investment will trigger new projects, the profitability of the industry will become ever more dependent on completion of projects on time and within the budget. Hilti offers a range of demolition tools that drive work site productivity and help its customers do the work in a cost-effective manner. Hilti has rcently launched a new generation 10 kg breaker, TE 800AVR, which has multiple innovative features built-in to provide high productivity. This tool comes with a premium tool service which is a first of its kind service being offered in India.
HI Drive technology
At the core of TE 800 AVR is Hilti?s innovative HI Drive technology. HI Drive has three key elements:
Efficient engine: This consists of a 1,850 W HPD motor that offers the best performance to weight ratio. To improve the life of the tool and various spare parts, an intelligent air flow was designed to keep the engine cool and minimise the entry of dust. In addition, a smart carbon brush that offers double the service interval and a solid epoxy coating on rotor that protects it from debris hits further increase the life of these key components.
Excellent transmission: The tool consists of a three-chamber lubrication system for ensuring effective lubrication of moving mechanical parts. The three-chamber lubrication system ensures that the dust is kept out and heat generated because of moving mechanical parts is absorbed quickly. As a result, the tool has a perfectly aligned hammering mechanism that efficiently transmits 21 J of impact energy which leads to high performance and worker productivity.
Electronic power steering: This ensures a steady performance under tough site conditions by protecting the tool against voltage spikes which improves the life of the tool. It also ensures a constant high performance from the tool even when long cords are used during usage. Finally, the electronic restart interlock is a key safety feature and it ensures that during a power outage the tool shuts down and only restarts when the operator switches it back on.
When the chisel impacts the concrete, the breaking force of the chisel on concrete leads to a return force on the operator in form of tool vibrations. Exposure to high tool vibrations has two side effects. First, the vibrations in tool lead to operator fatigue, which reduces operator productivity. Second, prolonged exposure to vibration affects the nerves which in turn weakens the hands. This leads to Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS).
Hilti?s Active Vibration Reduction technology significantly reduces the vibration in the tool and the vibration on TE 800 AVR is only 9 m/s2, which is within permissible limits.
Hilti feels proud to bring this feature to Indian market and thereby improve operator productivity and operator safety.
TE 800 AVR comes with Hilti?s new premium tool service which includes free first year repair including pickup and delivery. This enables its customer to better manage their repair expenditure.
The result of these product and service innovation is that the customers are able to recover their investment on the tool within the lifespan of the tool.
