Escorts launches RPL certification program
Escorts Skill Development, an associate company of Escorts Ltd, launched the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certification program under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship at various locations in Delhi and Haryana.
Escorts Skill Development has been sanctioned a target to train and certify 5,000 Trainees for RPL certification for the eligible skilled candidates having prior experience as domestic/general electricians in Haryana and Delhi.
Escort Skill Development will run the RPL program with three fold objectives of aligning the competencies of the unregulated workforce to the standardised National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), enhancing the career opportunities of individuals and provide alternative routes to higher education and provide opportunities for reducing inequalities based on privileging certain forms of knowledge over others. On completion of the course, the successful candidates will be awarded with a certificate and also cash reward of Rs 500 which will be paid directly in their bank account.
Speaking at the inauguration, GB Mathur, Director, Escorts Skill Development, said, ?Escorts has always endeavoured to contribute towards national goals and the mandate with Escorts Skill Development for conducting programs on Skills Development and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) was an acknowledgement of same. Escorts Skill Development will offer desired training to youth in Haryana and Delhi for developing their skills and awarding recognition certificates which surely will open newer employment avenues for them. The program on RPL will certify the skilled workforce on their existing skills which will smoothen their path for a vertical and horizontal movement for a successful career.?
