LiuGong set up new lineups of excavators and wheel loaders
"Over the last few years, LiuGong has dabbled in the global quarry and aggregates markets, but the Chinese manufacturer now claims to be making a full entry into the sector. This year, the company will introduce 20 new products, including upgrades to its entire wheel loader and excavator lineup. The refreshed 856H and 890H wheel loaders, as well as the 913FCR and 922F excavators, were on display at the recent World of Concrete in Las Vegas.
Thieneman said that the new machines have already received positive feedback from a quarry and aggregate customers, and despite ongoing global supply chain issues, the company expects good product availability. Cummins engines and ZF transmissions, which have already been integrated into the company's smaller machines, will be used in the larger machines as well.
Despite being based in China, the manufacturer claims that the components used in its products are sourced from all over the world. Starting with updating its smallest models first, LiuGong said that the wheel loaders 835, 838, and 848 are now in production.
For this product segment, the manufacturer is following Europe's lead and equipping the machines with Cummins Tier 4 Final or Stage V engines. As the manufacturer phased out the Perkins engines previously used in some models, Cummins will be the sole engine provider for LiuGong wheel loaders going forward.
The wheel loaders will also have a new Roll-Over Protective Structures (ROPS) or Falling-Object Protective Structures (FOPS) structure to support niche uses, as well as a redesigned cab layout for increased safety and operator comfort.
The machine's maintenance points are accessible from the ground, and the standard auto lube system reduces daily maintenance requirements, resulting in higher uptime.
